Neurologist

Are you a dedicated and skilled Neurologist? Do you have experience with Clinical Neurophysiology? Are you flexible and has an affinity with other cultures? Do you see working in Aruba as a neurologist as a challenge and are you willing to further shape the Neurology department? Then we are looking for you!

Care: Together with three other Neurologist, you provide specialized care and support to outpatient clinic and inpatients. As a neurologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with neurological disorders. You will work in a dynamic environment. You will be are part of a fast-paced department that thrives on teamwork and passion to provide high quality care, emotional support and guidance throughout the healthcare process.

Guidance: You provide instruction and guidance to residents, specialist trainees, student nurses, assistants, caregivers and interns.

Quality: You play a crucial role in ensuring and improving the quality and care within healthcare. Improving in direct patient care and enhance the overall quality and efficiency of the hospital. You demonstrate compliance with hospital safety policies and procedures.

We also offer you to opportunity to follow accredited further training both in Aruba and abroad at the expense of the hospital. We will advise and support you on matters related to relocation, registration an employment in Aruba.

Job requirements

  • Completed medical education and specialization in Neurology;
  • Valid medical license (specialist registration)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work well both independently and as a team;
  • Experience in conducting tests within clinical neurophysiology, such as electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and nerve conduction studies.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties and emergency cases;
  • Able to deal with criticism and provide feedback;
  • Has a great sense of responsibility and is able to perform well under pressure;
  • Able to communicate in Dutch or English and is willing to learn Papiamento. Spanish is a plus;
  • Has a patient- and service-oriented attitude.
